Hey all,
THANKS so much for the replies and advice! Everything has been extremely
helpful, and I'll do my best to follow everything.
Now, the possible news. She is a dark-eyed-white, has one kinda slightly
deformed ear and a slightly twisted face, and I think she may very well be
deaf. This morning, in my fairly brief trials of making loud noises
behind her back, she did not respond. I read in Fara Shimbo's book on
reproduction that often, deaf jills eat their babies because they do not
hear them cry. Can anyone confirm/deny? Or has anyone ever had a deaf
jill properly raise her babies? Now, I'm not 100% sure she's deaf yet,
but it would fit with her prior history of eating her kits.
Thanks once again for all the help, I surely need it! :)
Best wishes,
-Pam.
