Hello again. I have yet another question for the trained professionals here. This has to do with the use of pred.
I have Chrones disease, which is a human IBS/IBD. I was on pred the first time I came out of the hospital. I was weaned off of pred and I had a second bout with it. This time, as I was weaning off of pred, I was also started on azathioprine (spelling?). This is also an imuno-suppressant but does not have the bad side effects like pred. (Do you see where this is going?) My question is, has any other drug been researched to use in ferrets to take the place of pred to try to reduce the side effects of pred? Or at least for some medical problems such as IBD?
