Mast Cell tumors are dangerous in dogs in in ferrets they as almost
always benign. If memory serves there is only case of a malignant
one in pathology collections.
Was one removed with pathology doen by a ferret-knowledgeable
veterinary pathologist to be sure that these are malignant?
There have been multiple vets who simply didn't even know that these
are usually safer for ferrets than for dogs, and even some ferrets
destroyed without cause.
