Since so many people are using Carafate this week, why not get it in the
liquid version? I get a big bottle at the Wal-Mart pharmacy that lasts for a
couple years and it's not very expensive. We go thru alot at the shelter, so
it works for us to get the bigger bottle - someone is always on it <g> I'm
sure you can get it in smaller sizes. It's so much easier, IMO, then giving
the pills. My Carafate is pink colored, bubble-gum flavored and very easy to
give. Just a suggestion!

A question for the vets....per my vet, I have always given Carafate 10
minutes prior to eating. Another vet said it was okay to give the Carafate
up to an hour AFTER feeding, but wouldn't that be defeating the purpose? Is
it effective at all if you give it any time AFTER feeding them? Curious
minds would like to know.
