Hi!
I posted about using both pred and Imuran in combination based on past fhl =
posts. However, I noticed that Dr. Burgess said in one of his posts that h=
e prefers to use just Imuran, and there were several other posts that had g=
ood success with just Imuran. However, many of the human medical journal a=
rticles that I had researched listed using both pred and Imuran at the same=
time. So, I guess it is whatever works best for you. One concept that I =
have picked up in school is that sometimes it is better to use 2 different =
drugs that have the same results but by different routes, as it will decrea=
se the amount that you need to give of each drug, thereby decreasing potent=
ial side effects, but the combination will achieve the desired results that=
could also be acheived by higher doses of just one of the meds. (Kind of =
like giving both pred and diazoxide for insulinoma, instead of just one or =
the other.) So, again, it should be whatever works best for you.
Dooks to your fuzzies,
Shelley Knudsen
