I would be extremely careful with the borax, not that long ago I read where
an entire family of ferrets died because of being around borax, they some how
inhaled it into thier mucous membranes and were dead by the next day. I am
not sure but I think I read it here on the ferret mailing list (the old one
on yahoo). Please find out more about this before using the borax.
