Hello,
I had posted a few weeks back about Lupron shots.
The possibility of my ferret having a reaction and the
discomfort/pain caused by the shot.
First, thanks to all those who responded :o)
I am not really sure what the throwing up was all about.
Vet said it was not a reaction, and she was completely fine
after the incident. And nothing since has happened. .No slow
down what so ever in my hyper little spaz. It=92s was just odd. =
Next about the Lupron shot hurting because it is cold.
Mike=92s response made sense about any shot possibly hurting
if a nerve or a sensitive spot is hit. (OUCH, felt the pain =
in Penny biting you while getting her shot) But what about =
the temperature of the Lupron? That is what the vet stated =
was causing the pain. I can understand that, but in the responses I receive=
d, a couple people stated that they, or =
their vets were warming the Lupron before giving the shot. =
Does this do anything to the Luprons effectiveness? I know =
that may sound like a silly question if there are vets that
are already doing this. But my vet does not, and if there =
is no adverse effect on the Lupron being warmed. And warming =
it takes some of the risk away from causing my little girl any pain=85then =
I am going to ask that is it warmed. She goes on Sat. for her next shot and=
maybe her last, if we deside to go with surgery instead. =
Next question, if warming is ok, how warm is warm? Just =
running it under warm water to take the chill out of it? =
Hand warming it to room temp? =

If anyone would like to take a look at it and the replies.
Any information, thoughts, or comments very welcome
and much appreciated. :o)
