I have a ferret that will be 10 years old in a couple of months. Out of all of the 15 or so ferrets I have rescued, I have never had one live this long. She has never had adrenal, no insulinoma, no anything. She is as healthy as a horse. I need some suggestions on a new diet for her though. Because I have no experience with elderly ferrets, I have no experience on what she should be eating to make sure she stays happy and healthy as long as possible. She eats Iams cat food now. I switched her from the kitten food because my vet said that high amounts of protein in older ferrets can be detrimental. I was just wondering if there is something else I should be feeding her that is a little easier to digest. She is on no medications and I can not get her to eat any baby chicken food. She absolutely 100% refuses. She's an old lady and she's the boss!!!! So if anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thankyou. Ann, Cocoa, and Chloe
