I have two healthy, strong, bouncy eight year olds :) I asked our vet
about moving from Totally Ferret plus Bob Church's Chicken Gravy as a
supplement to Totally Ferret Senior or some other lower protein food.
He said that unless a ferret has kidney problems he doesn't think it's
necessary to change foods. He said that it used to be believed that
high protein diets weren't good for older ferrets but that more recent
research disputes that. We haven't changed their diet :)
BTW, I love hearing about healthy 10 and 13 year olds :) It's so very
encouraging.
