Butch (5 y/o MF) is scheduled for an exploratory procedure on November 6. He
is showing signs of adrenal (hair lose, itchy) but ultrasounds and TN panels
come out in normal range.
When discussing this with the vet last night he said that there is between a
3 - 5% chance that things might not go as I would like. I understand fully
what he's saying. He mentioned heliobarter (spelling wrong) as a concern.
He will also be debunking the pancreas to remove the insulmonias (spelling
wrong again). Butch has fat pads under his front legs (don't know if that
increasing the risk)
I would like to know and understand the risks from those who have gone
through this.
I want what is best for my boy but am wondering if the 3 - 5 percent is low?
Is there anything I can do to improve his chances for recovery.
Thank you.
