Sevie is up and down today. We got a little more potassium into her
in case that was contributing due to her diuretics, but her lethargy
seems pretty independent of that, too. At least she hasn't had any
of those spells today. Her vet knows what is going on and we're
keeping a close eye on her. She is tired now and looking touch pale,
and her ascites has worsened again. That's what heart disease is all
about when it gets advanced, of course, so now she is on more Lasix
and on more banana. Her Enacard is daily now, has been for a few
weeks and that helps, and we just keep making adjustments to give her
what time she has. She still has no evidence of any pain at all so
that is wonderful. Every time her vets (treating and consulting)
expect her to be gone soon she proves how tough she is, with her
downward progression being slower than expected, but I think that we
should figure that if she is with us into part of November we'll be
lucky.
