I just noticed that one of my ferrets has pooped blood. I'm almost positive it is my 2 yr old ferret, Squeaker. I checked his behind and it looked a little red with just a tiny spot of blood on it. The blood in the litterbox is almost completely black. It looks exactly like the bloody poop he had when he reacted badly to his distemper shot last year. What could cause this now? We did just adopt another ferret 2 weeks ago, but she was given a clean bill of health before I introduced them. My vet isnt' open on the weekends and I definitely dont want to take him to the emergency clinic. I just gave him some pedialtye and some pepto bismol. Should I rush him to the vet? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Dianna
