The grinding of the teeth, age, and hind leg weakness sound like
insulomia.
I would get a heath check, try some crafate and monitor blood sugar.
Grinding teeth can be a sign of ulcers, periodontal disease, IBD,
insolumia,
and any type of gastro-intestinal problem. Hind-leg weakness can be
insulomia, lymphoma, neuro0muscular, ADV, etc. Without a base to go
by, it
is hard to say. I would get the ferret in ASAP for a full blood panel and
glucose check. With an older one, they can go downhill fast. Please
keep
us updated with what the vet says.
