Subject: surgery for lymphoma ferret?
Message-ID: <15.16e9927.2af7cd5f@aol.com>
I have a difficult situation with one of my personal ferrets. Diana has
lymphoma and has been on chemotherapy treatments for the last 10 months. We
are currently doing a treatment every 4 weeks.
I have a dilemma: I believe that she is adrenal. She's been showing me in my
unprofessional opinion, multiple symptoms of adrenals: thin coat, rough coat
and the adrenal skin appearance. She just turned 5 in September.
To the vets out there: Would you recommend surgery for the adrenal problem?
or Lupron? Would the chemotherapy drugs that she receives make her a bad
surgical candidate? Our next vet visit is scheduled for Nov 12th for her next
treatment and I will be discussing it with him but I'm just I guess searching
for as many opinions as possible.
I want whats best for her. Cost is not a consideration with my ferrets - just
whatever it takes for her to enjoy quality of life. Thanks in advance.
