Ulrike,
We had a jill at the rescue centre that vomited blood and was in a similar
state to Zac. It was found to be an ulcer, so it's a strong possibility.

This morning I found blood in the cage and looked at Zac and he's heaving
and bringing up bits of blood and his mouth is full of gooey blood and it's
down his throat so I'm taking him in as soon as the vets open. Stomach
ulcer?

Hi Carol

Thank you so much, he's being treated for an ulcer at the moment, he's still
at the vets. He looked very ill this morning and the vet is concerned, she
said right now they want to treat the symptoms, I had a treatment protocol
for stomach ulcers with me so my vet has started treating Zac accordingly.
He's got normal looking stools, very small because he hasn't been eating but
they're not black or tarry. He's not digesting the blood and passing it out
the other end, he's just been vomiting it back up...
