Note that they were on IV so not without fluids and nutrients. The last time, though, Scooter pulled out his IV so they sent him home and he had fluids -- I think late that night, a few licks of things about 24 hours after surgery, and a meal about 36 hours afterward *IF* I rememeber right. We had two very ill at the smae time then so it was a confusing time.

I think we went with baby food -- not only because poultry doesn't agree with him -- because it is less fatty and therefore easier to digest than a/d, whereas with some other surgeries and individuals we'd have gone with a/d. Scooter enjoys his beef and lamb babyfoods post-surgically.
