Sevie has improved a bit again. I have no great tricks or useful
tips to share. Her improvement this time has been due to her own
stamina and plain old dumb luck. The increased Furosemide levels
which weren't holding her began to hold her, and the mouth sore is
gradually going away on its own. We think that she may have over-done
it for someone with such a bad heart and that caused a part of a
further down-turn which was temporary. We don't know, though. So,
we will continue to play balancing tricks with her medications and
letting her call the shots. Her trend is downhill, of course, but
it's not in the least a steady progression. In some ways once the
bad symptoms like ascites from her A/V Heart Node Block began, after
several months of excellent life with meds, it's been a bit like
nursing for cardiomyopathy -- only accelerated.
