Thank you everybody for replying to Zac's operation. I faxed all replies to
my vets this morning and 10 minutes later my friend's father called to say
that the stomach wasn't opened but the small bowel... No wonder the foreign
subject looked like poo. It was a piece of rubber, twice the size of what
could pass through the bowel. Zac is stable today, he's looking better but
my vets are still scared that the sutures may leak. Is it still a good idea
to give some pepcid or some tummy medication or is that only necessary if
the stomach has been opened? I also wonder why he vomited blood when the
obstruction was in his intestine?
I'm really grateful for all the help we've received, thank you so much.
