About 10 years ago, we had a ferret, an MF sprite, that developed a serious lung cancer, and eventually had to be put down. When my vet did a necropsy, he found 3 healthy adrenal glands. She had never had any surgery.
This was the first time he had encountered this, but has since seen it in other ferrets, although not a lot.
