I would let the more knowledgeable people
answer this, but I thought Carafate should not
be given at the same time as meds because it
will form the coating and the meds then won't get
absorbed right. But if you are saying the prednisone
is causing stomach ulcers or gastritis and at a separate
time from the pred, before meals you use the carafate then
that is no problem.
I guess all ferrets are different, but I had two ferrets
on prednisone for over a year without any stomach
problems, of course that may be dose related.
I think if you just feed the ferret something, I like
the meat baby food, around the same time as the pred.
