My female ferret is about 1.5yrs old and a lighter blaze/mutt. She has bee=
n in pretty good health since we got her as a kit. =

However, recently I noticed that her tail turned orange and she seems to be=
losing the hair on it. She also is growing new hair on her back, I think =
that she just went through a shed. Her vulva are completely normal, she ac=
ts normal, eats and drinks and potties normal.

One of her cages mates was just diagnosed with adrenal and will be having s=
urgery the first part of next month. So I am concerned what this may be as=
well.

The only thing that has changed besides her cagemate being adrenal was we g=
ot a puppy in Sept. He plays with them gently but licks them as well and g=
ently grabs their tails to get their attention. They are always supervisor=
ed when playing together and separated when the puppy gets too rambunctious=
.=

Any clues would be welcome. Thanks
