I've been searching on the net for a couple of days to find out about heart
disease in young ferrets. I haven't had much luck in finding out anything.
Mandrake is just under a year old and his heart keeps growing according to 3
x-rays taken over the last 6 months.
His heart is slightly touching his trachea and it's causing him to breathe a
little odd when he's on his back or gets over excited. He's got no fluid in
his lungs or abdomen but his heart continues to grow.
His symptoms disappeared for about 3 months and reappeared just a couple of
weeks ago.
We're scheduled for an ultrasound in the next little while, but I was
wondering if any vets have seen this in a young ferret and what i can expect
for him. Thank you SO much!
