Last winter one of my ferrets must have shed about 4
or 5 times. Each time the color was a little different
from the previous time. He was under a year old at
the time, and we kept joking that he couldn't decide
what color he wanted to be when he grew up. Last year
was a strange winter though. We would have a cold
snap and then it would get really warm. He's just now
starting to get a winter coat.
