He should check their stool sample if you provide one. He should look
ateyes, ears and teeth. He should listen to his heart and lungs. He
should feel all over for any lumps either in the abdomen or under the
skin. He should weight him.

They are still scratching like crazy, no hair loss. Can a drop or two of the canine "advantage" be used? I am guessing probably not, but thought I would ask.

That is too often. A bath every month or so is quite adequate. Bath with
a shampoo for ferrets or Johnson's No More Tears baby shampoo. If you
bath them too often it makes them stink. Bath only occasionally and wash
their bedding weekly. Advantage is the same product no matter if it is
labled for a kitten or a 55 pound dog. All that changes is how much is
put in the package. Buy the biggest package and suck out 0.1 to 0.2 ml
and put it behind your ferrets neck. You might want to investigate
Revolution. It not only kills fleas, but ticks, earmites, body mites,
heartworm larvae and a couple of intestinal worms. Use it the same as
Advantage.
