Have you tried a/d or assorted all-meat baby foods, mixed with heated water to about body temp?

Some tricks we have used in extreme situations: a baby doll size bottle with the tip cut to give soup, or an accordian top dropper. Either one gives better control that syringes or than most droppers. The means that the chances of aspiratio are greatly reduced. (Food inhaled into the lungs is a bad thing.) Usually, though putting towel on one's lap, and sitting there calmly singing or speakign softly while offering food from fingers winds up working.

Have you considered that it may be time for a medication change? We have found with Scooter who also has IBD that he needs his meds changed now and then. Recently Imuran and Biosol worked for him (but neither alone did) then they also stopped working like many meds before them. Prednisone doesn't work for Scooter but Prednisolone is working very well though he still has on and off runs.

Hoping for the best! It is a haul at times to deal with some problems and IBD can be tough, frustrating, and scary one.
