I live in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and there are no ferret vets anywhere near me. The nearest one is a 6 hour drive which is out of the question for me. I did manage to get the local vet to pull the tooth. He said that much he could do for a ferret but nothing more. I was given a list of possible ferret vets near me but they are all outdated as I checked them out. Rusty is doing just fine since the extraction. Little did I realize 5 years ago when I got my first ferret that a vet that knew anything about ferrets was a rarity in this vacinity. Thanks for all your advice. This is a valuable group to belong to for me as I own 10 ferrets and it is always something with them.
