Linda,

My ferret, Fig developed IBD after a bout with ECE. Her coat became dry and
brittle, muscle tone dropped off, and she developed hind leg paresis for
*months*. I force-fed her raw egg, chicken baby food and heavy cream. The
fat was going out of her as fast as it was going in with the birdseed stool,
and she relapsed frequently to ECE-like diarrhea. (She never had bloody
stool though). It looked dismal, she had NO use of her legs for a very long
time, when overnight she began to walk again. She went through a complete
coat change with a glossy soft new coat replacing the grey hay she had
before. She went through an antibiotic treatment early on that had no effect
on her symptoms and the only other treatment I gave her was frequent
force-feedings. It seemed that what it took for Fig was time. I hope yours
is the same. Don't give up.

best of luck
Jen
