Hi Everyone,

I need some help and quickly if possible. I have a 6 year old MF, M that wa=
s
diagnosed last week with congestive heart failure. This was done with and
ultra sound and blood tests. The cardiologist seemed surprised that both hi=
s
chest and abdomen were filled with fluid. He was immediately put on Lasix (1=
2
5 mg twice daily)and Enacard (1mg daily). When he had the ultra sound he
weighed 3.4 lbs. This past Wednesday when we went for a re-check his weight=

was 2.6 lbs so they cut him back to once a day on the Lasix. My vet called
today to ask me how he was doing and I told him he does nothing but eat and=

sleep. He is not active at all. I take him out in the morning and he finds =
a
place to sleep. I see him only when he comes out to use the litter box or
eat. He does still seem to have his usual appetite. My vets response was "i=
t
s time". =

Is there anyone else with experience with chf? Is there anything else I
could be doing. I want to make sure I explore all avenues first. On the
other hand I don't want to be selfish either. I appreciate hearing from
anyone with first hand experience.

Thanks,
Didd
