Hi,
I am posting a question for my ferret vet (again, I think the last got lost
in the shufffle). SHe has a client with a 4 year old neutered male ferret
that presented with severe conjuctivitis (left eye only) on 5/16/02. The
stain was negative and there was no response to the antibiotic. On 5/28/02
upon recheck there was no improvement and the cornea was extremely dry with
severe conjuctivitis. He was put on Pediapred (po) and cyclosporin drops
into the eye. On 6/25/02 there was 50% improvement with mild conjuctivitis,
but he was still squinting. She was wondering if anyone had any thought on
disease, further treatment or possible referal. The clinic in is Newark,
Delaware and is 30 miles south of Philly and 90 miles north of Baltimore.
Thanks
