I have a 4.5 year old MF female who had adrenal surgery about two months
ago. It was a very difficult surgery for her. She had bruising unlike
anything I ever saw. I use one of the best ferret vets in New England so
it's not an issue of inexperience, she's just very petite and his hands
are pretty big.
It took her a few weeks to start playing again and behaving somewhat
normally. However, she now suddenly seems old. She has roaned out on her
hind end (lots of white hairs), still plays, but her energy level is way
down. She sleeps a lot, enjoys being held (never did before), has taken
to sleeping with me at night and just lays by my feet when I am standing
still.
Does anyone have any ideas on things I should be concerned about as post
op issues? It was not bi-lateral adrenal surgery.
