Hello

First off I would like to say thank-you very much for the replies and infor=
mation. It all helped very much :o)

Funny thing was in how the situation played out. Last night I had read / s=
een the first 2 responses. Dr. Williams response had me asking the vet the=
same questions as to why x-rays <what the benefit was> and why another Lu=
pron, if surgery is going to be the way to go, what is the blood work for?

The vets response to the x-rays where just as Dr. Jerry had stated. With h=
er spleen being enlarged < more then likely because of the adrenal diseases=
> But not being a definite. =

The x-ray was to look at the heart and chest to make sure nothing looked ab=
normal.

The blood work was to check the other blood levels. To make sure that nothi=
ng looked extreme. Her vulva is not enlarged at all, so that is a definite=
plus, but it never hurts to check. A Tennessee was not being done because =
there again, no real benefit because she was already a strong suspect of ad=
renal, and had received 2 Lupron shots, so the results would more then like=
ly skewed. If the hormone levels where correct, it would likely due to the=
Lupron. The vet is just more comfortable doing blood work prier to any su=
rgery <when it is an option> to ensure that there are no surprises.

As far as receiving another Lupron shot. She has responded extremely well =
after only 2 shots. The re-growth of her hair has been phenomenal!! Almost=
a full coat and covered tail as appose to the thinning coat and rat-tail s=
he had. So with not knowing how soon the surgery will be preformed, the sh=
ot was given so the benefits would still continue. =

The vet was quite happy with the x-rays, everything looked pretty normal, e=
xcept for the spleen, enlarged, but we knew that. And that was not even all=
that bad. So depending on what it looks like when she is opened up will d=
etermine if just a biopsy, or removal will happen. The surgery will more t=
hen likely take place within the next few weeks. Baring any issue with the=
blood work when it comes back next week.

And yea Di, the shot are being warmed. The first one she received was not =
completely warmed. And after her reaction to that, the second one was thor=
oughly warmed and it did not make =

a difference :-( In fact I would have to say she reacted even =

a little worse. So it seems that she is just overly sensitive to them, luck=
y me. Wish mine did not flinch at all, lucky you :-). But then again, I wo=
uldn=92t change her for the world <grin>

Again, thank-you all so much :-) And I am sure when this all happens, you =
will be hearing from me with questions again, and hopefully just questions =
and no problems.

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving =

Brenda and the monsters :-)
