Are you sure both glands were 100% removed? If he's not on replacement hormone therapy since the surgery, then I'd say there was some adrenal tissue left or perhaps even ectopic tissue. If any little piece of an adrenal is left behind, a tumor can continue to grow and cause problems.

I would say that this is not an emergency that can't wait until Dec. 3rd. That's only a few days away.
