My daughter's ferret had surgery on November 26, 2002, for the adrenal glan=
d disease. According to the Vet that did the surgery, she had a tumor on he=
r pancreas and he had to remove 30% of it. He also said that she had white =
spots on her liver and something to due to her insulin being high. After th=
e surgery supposedly she was doing all right and that we can bring her home=
2 hours after her surgery. My daughter and I went to pick her up and she s=
eemed out of it so we figured that she is still have the affects of being p=
ut under. She never really came out of during the evening hours. My boyfrie=
nd and I cleaned her stitches since she kept having drainage from her stitc=
hes. When I got up this morning she had past away. I was told later today t=
hat she pasted away from shock. My question is how can you prevent and anim=
al this small from going into shock after surgery? We are thinking about ge=
tting another Ferret but we don't want to have this happen again. Will some=
one please answer our call for help........
Thank You =
