Patricia:
I am sorry for your loss. I have had quite a number of fuzzy surgeries
over the years. Everyone came through with flying colors with one
exception. The exception was not my regular vet. I think the key to
surgery is a highly skilled vet who can get in and out quickly to minimize
blood loss which can be a major cause of shock. My vet always keeps my
fuzzy overnight in the hospital for observation. I have never been able to
take one home two hours after surgery. I have also never had leakage from
sutures. I recognize it is easy to point fingers after a loss. Perhaps
your surgeon is great on larger animals but does not have a lot of
experience on smaller animals.. Again, my sympathies.
