Carafate is most easily given in the pediatric liquid formulation. Do you have the liquid or the caplet? With caplets usually about 1/8 to 1/10 of a caplet is given in water. With the liquid formulation we were told to use 0.1 ml but we are using it for a different situation than a present ulcer so it may be that a different dose is used in that case. (BTW, she LOVES the pediatric formulation.)
