Hi Mike,
I've just had my Peanut diagnosed with kidney disease/ possible failure.
He has had probs with grinding teeth and severe diarrhea for quite
some time. The doctor was treating him for IBD until the lastest
bloodwork showed elevated levels in his kidneys. My doctor (whom I
believe is quite good) put Peanut on a similar combination as you are
describing. The Carafate is the same exact dosage only Peanut is only
to do his 3X a day... every 8 hrs. The Amoxi is a little higher for Peanut
probably because of the kidney problem.. his is .25 ml 2x daily. And of
course, the baby food is highly digestible so it is the food of choice when
your little one has IBD/Ulcers. So to me, it sounds like you've got the
right combination there. But then, I am not a doctor and am also going
by what I read and what my doctor prescribed for my little guy who has
similar symptoms.
