>From my understanding, a bland food diet of chicken baby food is recommended for ferrets with ulcers. My question is, can they have anything else like Ferretone, raisins, bananas or ferret treats? Also after about a week of Carafate 4 times daily, Mittens is still grinding his teeth and eats very little. Until today, I was still allowing him to eat his kibble until advised not to because it might delay the healing process. I was under the impression that the Carafate would coat his stomach so he wouldn't have pain while eating, but so far I haven't noticed much difference. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
