My vet recommended it to me for my ferrets assorted problems. The
liquid alcohol- free extract is the easiest to use. I use "Nature's
Answer" brand, comes in an amber (brown) bottle, 1 oz. (30 mL). My
fuzzies all weigh from 1.5 lb to almost 3 lb., and all have been given
the same dose - 3 drops twice a day (in Bob C's Chicken Gravy). It is
well respected in "mainstream" medicine, and is often prescribed by
physicians treating human patients for hepatitis and certain liver-toxic
poisons among other things. Works well, and none of my fuzzies (7 or 8)
that needed it had no apparent problems, side effects, and all were
helped ...
