Hi,

I agree with everyone who says to ask your vet and/or pharmacist.

When I'm administering a particularly nasty med my vet will let me know
when I can draw a little ferretone/linatone into the syringe first.
We've done this with the dreaded flagyl. For others we use a
compounding pharmacy our vet can work with and we have the meds
flavored. In some cases it makes the meds more palatable to the little
weasels, but in other cases it just doesn't. (Clue: Tuna flavor, a
favorite for cats, has been hated by every ferret I've tried it with.
Sweet fruity flavors work better.)

Another point which may help: some meds specifically call for
administration with food, and in other cases it won't hurt. Pertwee
doesn't like his meds, but he still waits for me to give them to him
because he knows they are always followed by Bob Church's Chicken Gravy,
which he loves. Of course, the gravy is medicated too to compensate for
pancreatitis :) He's still eager to have it.

Good luck!
