Glueball passed away. She never made it out of the hospital. Our vet
thinks that she likely was part of the lympho clump we've had which
has taken 4 ferrets, first Meeteetse then about 19 months later
Jumpstart, then Warp, and now Glueball. We've lost the last three
this year and Sevie's terminal with her own heart problems.

Shewas too young -- only 5.

Our vet (who is very good one for ferrets) said that she was a real
mess inside. He ven photgraphed her spleen because it was such a
mess. (Bruce, you may be interested in that. I'm too numb to think
about it now so give me time. Okay?) You'd never have known she had
anything except an early illness till yesterday. She was playing
like crazy till yesterday afternoon. Yesterday afternoon Ashling was
worried about Glueball and got us to help her, but that was a sugar
crash. She was already scheduled for her surgery today before then.
Heck, Glueball even played tube last night in her isolation room
before surgery and she was a bed guest part of last night, too.

We've never lost one in surgery or in recovdery before. I know we
were unusual fortunate that way. In 20years we'd come close 3 times
with two ohter ferrets before.

At least she got to live fully till the last day and she did know we
were there and breahed better for us till her breath got raggity
anyway and she took brain damage so then we had to let her go.

We'll know more after her pathology comes back.

It doesn't seem really real somehow.

Anyone have any idea of viral precursor timing for lympho clumps?
When Sevie loses her battle with her A/V heart node block we'd like
to add a kit or two. Sure hope that she has another 3 weeks in her
or so. The last time we had a clump all who died were together for a
while but any gotten after a certain date never got lympho.
