Like I said, I'm a firm believer in the amount of light per day our ferrets are exposed to being part of the adrenal problems we see. It's just the four day response that seems unlikely.

There was a shelter operator who was (she passed away a year or two ago) an advocate of controlled lighting as a means to reverse and/or prevent adrenal disease. She hung fluorescent lights (with plant "grow" light bulbs I believe) right over the cages of ferrets and had them on a timer to expose them to massive amounts of natural light for prescribed periods of times. She reported amazing results, though I can't vouch for the validity of the claims.
