Over in alt.pets.ferrets (a usenet group) we often get UK posters claiming
disease-free ferrets. Since the UK has recently eased restrictions on
animal importation, a quick study on exchanged ferrets might be possible.
The study wouldn't eliminate all the variables, and might raise more
questions than it would answer, but would be relatively inexpensive
compared to more encompassing studies which have been proposed.
