There are ways to import animals in to the UK without putting the
animals in a quarantine kennel. If you are a breeder there are ways that
enable you to quarantine on your own property. I think you need an
inspection and licence from DEFRA (MAFF). If you wanted to import a few
ferrets the licence might be cheaper than the quarantine costs but I bet
it would not be easy getting the licence issued for ferrets. Chris.
