The best prices I have found for diazoxide / proglyceem have been from
Franck's Pharmacy in Florida. Their number is 1-800-622-4510 ask for Shonte,
she is very helpful. You'll have to have your vet call in the prescription
though and they wouldn't give me a price until then. They were less than 1/2
the cost of the compunding pharmacy here in town (Atlanta, GA).

The only problem is if you don't live in FL, they can't guarantee the liquid
topical compound will be good once it gets to you. Apparently, it tends to
fall out of the suspension if it gets very cold. My last refill came with
crystals all over the bottom. I had been using the topical because the oral
form (tried at least 6 flavors) was impossible to get down my two. The
people there worked with me and were awesome about my dilemma about not
being able to use either the oral or topical (at least in winter). The
pharmacist created capsules and they sent me a sample of 6 to try for a
couple of days. Based on dosage, I take apart the capsule and sprinkle 1/3
in their food. This makes them much happier since the liquid form of the
medicine is quite nasty (I know, I tasted it to see). They can't taste the
powder at all as far as I can tell. The cost appears to be about the same as
the topical form. The whole experience working with them has been great.
They are immediately responsive and they gave me no problem about refunding
my money for the one that was ruined (a plus, when it's $250 dollars we're
talking about). Using the capsules has made both my and the ferts lives much
more pleasant as well. Cheers to Franck's!
