Hilda, I am not a vet, but having had both dogs and ferrets, I suspect
that the dog's diarrhea is most probably from too much holiday cheer -
i.e. the stress of travelling, being in a strange place, and a little
too much rich fatty food. My mom's little toy fox terrier came down with
pancreatitis every Christmas like clockwork, till a savvy vet tipped us
off that it was the holiday handouts triggering it. The good news is, it
is not contagious ... unless the fuzzies are overindulging too ... hope
