Ryo-Ohki's adrenal carcinoma metastasized just about everywhere. It
affected all her major organs. Our vet found that when he went in for
an exploratory which he opted for after no other treatment was working.
BTW, an ultrasound showed nothing abnormal, but there were tumors just
about everywhere. We decided not to let her wake up.

The point is that Sukie has it 100% right. Many tumors, but only one
cancer.

I'm very sorry about Glueball and Peanut. I know how hard it is. The
thing is, y'all did everything that could be done and gave them the best
possible life. Take solace in that. Finding explanations why things
happened is only helpful if it will help vets learn enough to save other
ferrets or extend their quality time. To me, other than that, it's
dwelling on the bad things that happened. Instead try to remember and
celebrate everything good those ferrets brought into your homes.

All the best,
Caity and the non-stop nine
