The vet thinks that my ferret has an allergy to something. She breaks out in scabs all over her body. He originally gave us a medicated shampoo to clear this up. They only went down, but never went away, and they always came back. Today he gave her pills to take every other day. They are cut in half so they are rather small. But I am having a problem getting her to take them. I have tried putting it in peanut butter because that is one of her favorite treats. But she would only lick around the pill. I also tried crushing it up and putting it in peanut butter but I think she realized the taste was different and then didnt want anything to do with it then. How do I go about giving her this medicine? I also tried scruffing her and putting it in her mouth when she opened it but she would just spit it back out. Thanks for any help.
