Subject: stepped on ferret; she's ok but what to monitor?

I stepped on one of my ferrets Tuesday after work. I was barefoot. She
was sleeping under a t-shirt and I stepped on her stomach. Rushed her
to vet. She was in shock. Stomach is bruised and spleen is enlarged
(swollen?). Vet got her out of shock and she's now home and back to
normal. No blood in urine or poop, eating and drinking normal, and
pooping normal.

How will the spleen stay swollen??? Is there anything else I should be
concerned about or keep an eye on??? She is going to go to the vet for
periodic check-ups, but should I watch for anything specific?

Age of ferret: unknown, she's a surrender that I just got last week.

Yes, I will pay closer attn to where I walk. First time this has
happened and I'm still in shock more than the ferret.
