we've had our little smokey for a little over a year now(purchased from a store)-he has been for the most part acomplete picture of health & happiness-about 6 months ago, we bought another ferret, Candy.The two were kept apart for the first 2 months or so, Smokey has recently within the last month or so, started to lose some weight and has little interest in eating-he just looks a little gaunt in his face,yet still is very playful and fun.I was told by a vet assistant that it sounds like a "hyperactive thyroid"-i am not really sure what that is,and if it is what he has-we do have an appointment to see a ferret specialist next week-I just wanted to know if this is anything we should really be worrying this much about?
