Subject: Pawing getting worse, don't know what to do?

My 4.5 year old female. Thursday night she started pawing at her mouth and hacking . In the Mornig she was still pawing but was active. I took her to the Friday afternoon and just got her back this morning. The doctor thinks she has a gastric ulcer and gave me carafet. Sense I have had her home the pawing has got worse and she is extremely agitated and can't sleep. The vet said she had a bowel movement. Right how I am at a lose and don't know what to, and the is not in. I would greatly appreciate any help.
